How Does Adcetris 50mg Injection Work?
Adcetris works by targeting a protein called CD30, which is found on some types of cancer cells. The medication is an antibody-drug conjugate, meaning it combines an antibody with a chemotherapy drug. The antibody part of Adcetris attaches to the CD30 protein on the cancer cells, and then the chemotherapy drug is released into the cells, killing them.
Adcetris is used to treat Hodgkin lymphoma and systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma. It is given as an intravenous infusion.
