Ocvir V 400/100 mg tablets, containing sofosbuvir (400mg) and velpatasvir (100mg), are primarily used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults. This combination is effective against all six major HCV genotypes.

Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C:
Ocvir V is used to stop the replication of the hepatitis C virus in your body, helping to reduce liver damage and improve liver health.
It is effective for treating HCV infection with or without cirrhosis (liver scarring).
Treatment for Patients with Cirrhosis:
For those with compensated cirrhosis (mild liver scarring), Ocvir V is typically used alone.
For those with decompensated cirrhosis (severe liver damage), it is often combined with ribavirin for enhanced effectiveness.
