Barilol 2.5mg Tablet is used to treat hypertension or high blood pressure and prevent the diseases related to it. It contains Bisoprolol Fumarate.

How effective is Barilol 2.5mg?

Barilol 2.5mg Tablet is used to treat the issues of high blood pressure in patients. Reducing blood pressure causes a reduction in the risk of heart attack and strokes. So this medicine is used for the prevention of diseases related to high blood pressure.  It contains Bisoprolol as an active ingredient and belongs to anti-hypertensive class of drugs. It works by reducing the oxygen consumption of cardiac muscles and thus the heart load.

What dose should I choose?

The recommended dose of Barilol 2.5mg for adults (age 18 or above) is 2 to 8 Tablets, taken a day. Maximum 20mg can be taken in a day.

Barilol 2.5mg is not recommended for the children (age 17 or below).

What are the side effects and other warnings when taking Barilol 2.5mg?

All products with an active ingredient can cause side effects, although they are rare.

Side effects can include:

• Dizziness
• Insomnia
• Irregular heartbeat
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Joint pain
• Cough
• Diarrhoea
